FEES
*Indicates Summer Special pricing through July 31, 2019!

All fees charged by Common Scents are based on the amount of time required to provide a particular service. Much of that time may be spent in preparation for the client visit. This includes phone calls, evaluation and analysis of forms and questionnaires, and often, pre-appointment research designed to help make your first and subsequent meetings with Common Scents more successful.

Please feel free to inquire about any of the fees listed, or about a fee for any need or other service not listed. Listed below are our three basic core programs:

PUPPY HEAD START:   $75.00

A 1 1/2 to 2 hour consultation. Includes evaluation of your puppy's temperament, discussion of client's needs and lifestyle, and specific recommendations to both control unwanted puppy problems and maximize your puppy's development. Includes specific strategies for controlloing issues such as: housebreaking, crate training, jumping, nipping, chewing, and more.

*BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION:  $150.00  (Regularly $195)

A 2-3 hour in-depth meeting. This session is geared toward resolution of more serious behavior issues including aggression, separation anxiety, compulsive disorders, fears, phobias, and other chronic problems. A certified, experienced counselor will evaluate your dog's issues, explain its origin, and provide you with a strategy to move forward toward a solution.

*COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM:  $495.00  (Regularly $595)

Eight private sessions. First session is 2+ hours, next seven sessions are 1 - 1 1/2 hours each, once a week.

This program can be utilized for teaching basic foundation obedience and social skills, or as a follow-up to an in-depth counseling session for a serious behavior issue.

Basic foundation work includes an up-front evaluation of the owner's needs and an asessment of training requirements.  The lessons will be custom designed to achieve mutually agreed upon goals. At the owner's discretion, the last lesson will include a "field trip" to help the dog generalize obedience to different times and places.

Counseling follow-up programs are designed to help bring the behavior issue in question under owner control.  A combination of operant conditioning and classical conditioning is usually employed. If warranted, outside sources may be consulted, including your veterinarian.  NOTE: The counseling session and follow-up program may be combined for a reduced fee. Please contact us for more information.
